A Road Inward, an example of a past narrative paragraph

Everyone needs to have a unique story to tell. So, I have been a lucky one to have more than one. Perhaps, one of the most exciting and positive experiences of my life was an 11-day journey which I went on on foot from Tehran to Ramsar in a small group of friends about 8 years ago. Almost everything was decided spontaneously from the very departure to the return. Having gathered together and obtained a very basic and limited supply of food, we, the four travelers, began a foot-journey along Kandovan road of which we all had had memories of traveling by car and couch, but no idea how a experience of the new kind could be. All we went through, from getting lost in an old and hard-to-pass detour, and then exploring extremely breathtaking scenes to worthwhile experience of living on a very limited amount of food and sharing it with a group, made us more tolerant and patient. Although we took our blistered feet home as souvenirs, we had still great stories to tell.
