A Short Comment on NAMING OF PARTS

An extremely natural contrast conveyed drawn in a most atypical_and sometimes even hard- to-follow_way possible was the first thing that came to mind, having read Naming of Parts , a poem by Henry Reed. But,what elements comprise the natural part, what makes the comparison sound atypical and what two parties of the comparison are are important subjects for us to deal with. A contrast between violence and serenity, joy and obligation, emotions and calculations, and/or the spring and the war is passing through a soldier's mind wave after wave; all are natural contrasts. However, what makes these obvious contrasts hard to catch and follow is the way of expression which leave audience confused about whether these two irrelevant voices belong to one person( the instructor) or they are respectively possessed by the instructor and the soldier's ier talk. Perhaps The only clue to five the problem is some word plays we are confronted with about the middle of line 4 of each stanza which remind the soldier of, or divert his attention from the rifle to, spring nature.

Focusing on the second stanza, we are faced with another distraction from piling swivel , a part of rifles which in their case, they have not got and may have be considered useless, to branches and gestures of trees (probably in the garden they are in) which, again, they are deprived of. The mssing link in this case could be serenity of the trees.
